There is no doubt that the youth are the future torchbearers of our society. Keeping this in mind, there are certain places in the United States where the movement of adolescents is restricted at particular times in the night unless an adult is with them. In my opinion, this is a welcome change and must be accepted with open hands.
Young people, especially ones in their teens, should focus on building their lives. This is because the amount and quality of work they put in educating and enabling themselves now are likely to have far-reaching positive implications later in their lives. Giving these youngsters the freedom for late-night excursions can not only harm their prospects but that of the nations too. In other words, if they go to bed on time, chances are they may adapt to a more balanced lifestyle early on in their lives which will probably aid them in their careers later on. As the saying goes, “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise”.
Furthermore, teenagers are known to have impressionable personalities and certain areas in all countries are more vulnerable to individuals hanging around late in the night. Since most crimes and illegal activities like drug deals take place at such times in these areas, it would be wise to disallow people of this age group to move about, or else they might get fell a victim of such dealings. For example, my cousin who is 17 and lives in a certain area of Mumbai that is known for illegal activities, is not allowed to go out late at night unless accompanied by my uncle. Therefore, it makes sense to stay indoors at night.
In conclusion, for the sake of the future of the youth, it is wise to keep late-night movements restricted. These people should focus on building a brighter life for themselves; and since they are quite impressionable, it is better to safeguard their interests and confine them at home late at night.
