Many argue that there is no need to go to a cinema to enjoy a movie because of the ease of viewing a film on these devices, while others believe that the cinematic experience is incomparable to any other. The big-screen experience is by far more immersive than viewing a movie on a smaller device.

On the one hand, those who prefer films on a phone and tablet often can access a wide number of movies at a low cost, on-the-go. Notably, the price of a Netflix yearly subscription is the price of two cinema tickets, while providing access to a variety of films. Therefore, watching a movie on tablets and phones is a compelling proposition for many price-conscious, busy professionals that desire to watch the latest movies but find making time to go to the cinema a challenge.

On the other hand, visiting the cinema allows audiences to enjoy a movie in a far more immersive style. Viewing on the big screen allows one to be deeply absorbed into the world that the film depicts without distractions. To illustrate, the size of the screen and the sound quality make it possible for us to appreciate the subtler elements of the film such as camera angles, music, costumes, acting, and much more. Hence, watching a film in a cinema is an extraordinary occasion that enables viewers to expand their imagination in ways that are not possible on a phone or tablet. 

In conclusion, viewing movies on smaller devices allows viewers to indulge in more films at a lower cost. However, in my view, the value of a cinematic experience does not compare to viewing films on a smaller screen as it is a far more engaging and vivid medium.
