You recently bought a large expensive item but when it was delivered to your home you found some problems with it.

 

Write a letter to the manager of the shop. In your letter

 

  • give details of what you bought

  • Describe the problems with your item

  • Say what you want the shop to do

Dear Sir or Madam,
 
I am writing this letter to complain about a recliner sofa which we puchased from the Juhu branch of your shop ‘Home Decor’ recently.
 
The model number of the product is RE-725. The item was delivered to our house on 01-09-2020 and the number on the invoice generated was 8937502-E. It is a two-seater recliner, light brown and it cost us Rs. 67,580/- after applying the festive discount.
 
There are two issues. The first one is that the recliner lever on the right side keeps getting stuck and as a result the couch does not stretch all the way back, getting stuck midway. Initially, we assumed this to be a minor problem that would ease away with regular use but even after a week of use it still gets jammed. The second problem is that the left armrest has a small green patch on the inside as if some liquid fell on it. We failed to notice this initially owing to its hidden nature and saw it just yesterday.
 
It seems to us that we have been handed a model which was used in the shop display and this is unheard of from a brand of your popularity. Since we paid for a new unused recliner, we would like you to replace the product with another new one as soon as possible.
